Tasks related to the department of the structural plan and project design

• Study and update the regulations and components of the structural plan to ensure sustainable management.
   

• Design buildings, facilities, and squares in accordance with sustainable design standards and international standards for persons with disabilities and fire safety in order to achieve environmental safety, social justice and optimal utilization of resources.
   

• Study and approve the requirements of structural changes in buildings and external areas and install the latest components with the strategic plan to accommodate future requirements.
   

• Prepare a time-bound plan for projects and raise their efficiency to fit the academic program plan.
   

• Coordinate between work centers, colleges and the operators regarding the data of the sites and plans, and update them in an innovative way to meet the needs of the final beneficiary involving the standards of quality and environmental safety.
   

• Prepare plans and studies for the management of university facilities.
   

• Prepare technical studies and analyses of traffic planning in and around the walls of the university campuses with the development of an integrated system to regulate traffic in university sites, and innovative strategic solutions to solve the problem of the parking lot.
   

• Adopt the designs for the system of signs, while studying all applications submitted by colleges, university departments and various work centers, and sending them to the concerned departments for implementation.
   

• Plan and program pre-design projects by preparing the estimated cost, prepare the terms of reference, evaluate and approve the offers of consulting offices, study and review consultancy contracts, and reaching the stage of signing the agreement.
   

• Follow-up of consultancy work on design work in its first phase. The preliminary stage of examination - Development of design and preparation of tender documents - Change orders and time extensions of design and supervision agreements - Certificates of payment - Supervision agreement.
   

• Participate in the preparation of the estimated budget related to requirements for the work of the development of the master plan and design.
